Wasn’t sure what to expect as trailer was full of fast effects and promise of deep intrigue. Friends who’d seen it said it was a complicated plot.

Well. Note that I am able to watch TV, play computer games and eat pizza all at the same time so perhaps I’m better equipped for this film than most.

But I didn’t find it particularly taxing. Yes, the plot tried to confuse by offering layers on layers and things within things with extra drama. But it wasn’t much of a plot. Ultimately it came down to one piece of dream tech.

Acted well enough by supporting cast but Leonardo didn’t do much more than look grumpy. I didn’t engage with anyone and was more annoyed by some of the time wasting than on the edge of my seat.

Great effects – I especially liked the near-matrix type corridor fight – and the central idea kept from going mouldy between start and credits. It just didn’t do anything else. A bit empty really.

Keep DVD?
Nah. Not unless the extras are great.
Watch if on TV?
Probably. Wouldn’t tape it though.
Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Small kiss, no tongues, perhaps some dirty flirting.
