WHY DID THEY GET RID OF FIREFLY?? WHY????

The only alternative was for Joss Wheedon to make this film. And it’s a fantastic feeling to see these guys again. Perhaps non-believers will not be so keen but I urge you to stick with it and ‘get’ the whole brown-coats thing.

Some of the effects are a little Babylon 5, that is to say they look like a computer created them. Which it did, obviously. Also sometimes the plot has more holes than your dodgy relative’s string pants that you wish you hadn’t known about.

But that’s not the point. Most of the sets, acting and script are grounded in a back story of the captain who has a past and a ‘verse that has also been through the wars and is now trying to enjoy it’s freedom, albeit one on the losing side.

Glau is incredibly good looking although I like Jewel too but to be honest, with the exception of the preacher, all the actors do brilliant jobs and look very comfortable with their places in this space drama.

Oh, I like it. I want Serenity. It’s not fair…. WHY DID THEY CANCEL THE SERIES??? There wont be another film either so get your hankies ready for the times after watching Nathan and crew when you cry yourself to sleep over the cruel, fatherless arses who stopped this wonder of modern story telling.
