Saw this in the cinema and felt like the start and middle were great recapturing of the title but that the end was rubbish. Let’s face it, when you leave the big screen you need to have been turned on by the film ending or all the good bits fade into disappointment.

Having watched it again and again I still feel the same about the start, middle and end but the overall impression is a great way to kick start Batman, albeit a very dark one. And by dark I mean dark colour more than anything. There should have been a fight in the middle of a green field just to give my eyes a breather.

Chrissy-boy and Katie are what they are and as it’s all about iconics then they fit the bill nicely. Michael is perfect as the slightly surly but massively dependable butler and Morgan does the same role as a tech-scientist. You know what you get with Morgan and Michael and mostly you want what they provide so there’s no complaints there.

This time I realised what I really like about Batman Begins is not just that it explains the big man’s kit and crib but also does so without contriving too many special tech, unlike Ironman who springs repulsors and weopons out his bum when he does a poo. Don’t get me wrong, I like Ironman as well but the Bat here has a dirty reality about his gear.

Good, fun film, want to see the DVD extras sometime.

Keep DVD?
Holy Film Collection! It’s a keeper, Batman.
Watch if on TV?
Yes. It’s the beginning I really like but I keep missing it.
Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Bat-snog.
