“Put on your sunday best when you feel down and out!”

Not a fluffy bunny in sight. This cartoon is practical and metallic but everything about it is singularly nice. Even the robots with mental problems are imbibed with personality and cuteness.

My yard-stick for sci-fi animated films is The Invincibles and Wall-E isnt as good. However, I would choose to watch it for the simplicity and catchy-goodfeel nature. It’s got a lot of simple heart and absolutely nothing is out of place. Well executed and nicely thought out with the almost invisible inclusion of live film that adds a cheekiness to the proceedings.

In ten or 20 years years, I think it’ll stand up there with the rest of the good ones and still be watchable.
