I like fantasy and I like Terry Gilliam films. Hmmmm. But this wasn’t the best although defintately tried to get there.

Terry’s films are a swathe of cogs and dirty rags with masses of dust and strange characters. Matt and Heath were not too strange and there weren’t many cogs. However there was a mad general, a forest with spooky stuff and the ever present muddy grimness (no pun intended although I think the word is showing it’s origin). I should say that Matt, Heath and Lena all perform without issue and Monica just isn’t given enough to do.

Feels like it was a bit of a throw-together to show the studios that Terry can come in on budget with a mainstream production.

Having said all that, I still liked it the second time around. Didn’t the first. Probably expecting more of the subject matter.

Enjoyable, not one for the shelf but still good fun.
