What a great laugh. I mean it, this is the best laugh I’ve had in ages and I’ve seen the film loads of times before!
John and Michael are obviously wonderful and their comic timing lifts every scene they do, even though they are not in many together. Jamie always strikes me as an unorthodox beauty, a girl who is sexy without looking it. No offense to her but she’s not got a model face however, when she smiles, she glows. In Wanda, she makes the most of her skills and with Kevin doing his most frantic panto itall adds up to a brilliantly funny package. Don’t know if the really funny lines were more ad-lib than script but there’s enough of a simple premise to hang the sketches on.
Music is pretty lousy, verging on stupid, but fortunately there isn’t much of it.
If you like British comedy, you’ll love this and I’d say you’d probably be ok watching it again a couple of weeks later.
