It’s an animation. I know there’s one out there that’s not but this one is. Same people as did The Triplets of Belvedere (Belleville Rendez-vous)

The quality of the backgrounds and detail of the streets and landscapes – wonderful. It’s not Toy Story but more like an extremely beautiful art show. Really, you end up watching everything and not wanting to miss a thing. It’s testiment to the wonderful characterisation that after a couple of minutes, I was totally involved with the lives of each person on the screen.

Really nice to watch although quite difficult to follow certain parts of it. This was down to understanding why the illusionist himself was doing the things he did, not to the way it was made. “Why would someone do that?” kind of thing.

Not a cartoon for kids but incredible to watch.

DVD Extras: Not much going on there and what there is is not for me.

About Simon Trail

There has long been a tradition that a knight will show a crest and / or motto of his family. I shall endeavour to provide such a distinguishing and immediately descriptive thingy over my management of this site. Please be patient. Or Doctor if you're David Tennent.
