“Don’t you ever touch a Chinese man’s CD!”
“Which word was goat?”
Funny haha and lots of Jackie jumping around. Actually good fun but in a small way, maybe a Sunday afternoon laugh style.
Both Jackie and Chris are the cops you expect and Chris is still not a cop you’d expect to exist on any police force in the world. So in that sense we have the same set up as the other Rush Hour movies and it’s still fun, just not enough to like it a great deal. I guess if I had the box set I might put them all on some evening and have a ‘whop his ass’ party. That sounded very wrong…. It’s the dialog, you see? Chris has over used phrases and very obvious reactions that never get serious. I know this is a comedy but I’ve always been keen on some kinda realism and Chris just can’t do that. Think what I’m saying is that there needed to be a stronger actor in his place to keep up his side of the flick. He’s funny but not in a leading man way.
Nothing else is particularly wrong. There isn’t any bad camera work, all the sets and locations are good enough and Jackie is incredibly spritely for being 30 years in the movie business. Bargain bucket fun but I’m not going back there any time soon.
Watch if on TV?
Yeah, go for it. I probably will.
