“The chief ain’t chew it all out. You still got a little ass there.”

“I ain’t on duty so my dick can be hard.”

I still have the tune in my head. It’s an awesome tune. Once you have this tune in your head you’ll be finding it popping up everywhere like, well, like Eddie Murphy I suppose!

There isn’t anything new about the plot – you must have seen this a million times in so many other buddie movies. However, this was one of the most glossy and certainly seems to be the one that started everyone off on the posh versus bad-side-of-the-street movies. This is an absolute classic of a film.

I recorded it this time at about midnight as I was trying to go to bed. Thought it would be a bit of a joke but as I stood there with the remote in my hand and my tired eyes wanting to go to sleep, I just kept watching. This movie has power and I’d say it’s in the combination of the soundtrack, sunny Beverly Hills and Eddie himself.

Finally I stopped watching about half way through and about a day later I persuaded the wife to watch it too. Again, she didn’t really want to but we were both hooked like some kind of 80s crap film addiction. It’s a crap film but it’s also a classic. Don’t ask me to explain that, just go watch it.

Keep DVD?
Yes. I figure this was out before ‘extras’ were invented though. Certainly before DVDs.

Watch if on TV?
Yes

Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog hard having removed the banana from the tail pipe….!
