“Everything started in this deep, dense forest.”

Korean films are great. This one is South Korea and even the trailers for other films look fun. Sometimes I think it’s just that western films are too derivative so seeing someone have what looks like a new idea is a buzz.

The camera and light work is creepy to start with but the way they all smile is a mind-game in itself. Such a good film. Mind you, it’s also confusing until you get to the last half hour. In a good way, though.

The kids are excellent and although some of the adult actors are not so good, they all work really well to give an extraordinary experience. Maybe it’s a little long but I wasn’t too unhappy with that.

If you like your films weird and different, this is a good one for you.

DVD Extras: 53 minute making of. Fun to see the actors, especially the kids, off camera. Shows a lot of film making techniques as well. I liked it although translation was missing in some places.

Keep DVD?
Yes. I’m defo gonna watch this again.

Watch if on TV?
Yes, worth it. A might long though.

Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog, maybe marry.
