“Pleased to meet you”

Some things in life are spectacular, some are down right fab. Some things make you orgasmitular, some just drive you mad.
And then there is Rocky Horror.

Love. It.

The music got me first. It’s old time rock ‘n’ roll with updated smut lyrics and it all works on so many levels that you have to be a monster not to enjoy.

But… is it a good film?

For me, yes. For some people it seems to be ‘an acquired taste’ but I think that’s peeps that are trying to deny they like the transvestite part and all the debauchery.
There isn’t really any sex though, it’s all just fun and innuendo (ooer!) with dances and performances that jump straight out the screen and wink in your face.

Come on, this is great fun! I’ve never seen the stage show and don’t know if it could live up to the movie. There isn’t much not to recommend here unless you just plain don’t like this kind of thing in which case go and play with a calculator and tap out your log tables in a dark corner somewhere.

DVD Extras: I got the special anniversary edition that has a visit to the filming location, some strange outtakes and interviews. Not too bad.

Keep DVD?
