It’s ok. That’s about it. There’s a certain amount of tension built up and Russell gives a passable performance of someone going a bit crazy but the best bit is Elizabeth’s change from beautiful and feisty wife / mother / career woman to degraded and dejected prisoner. She’s not in it much though so this isn’t enough to pull the whole thing up from the mediocre.

It’s a competent film, I’ll give it that, not great on the main plot (there are a lot of flaws with the set up and you just have to go with it) and there’s nothing obviously badly filmed although maybe the drama isn’t heightened as much as it could be.

I know they tried to make it interesting but, for me, this one’s just not got what it takes.
