A magical world of mysterious stories each linking to the others through time and people.

Not bad, actually. Quite liked to see the different acting styles that each of the main guys had to go through. In many way seemed like a play but one with a massive budget for effects, makeup and sets. When taken on their own, the six stories are not as complicated as they seem when woven together but there was a nice bit of intrigue to most of them and it was comfortable enough without being boring.

I found it really good and lacking only in the depth of each story. Some might argue that there would need to be an extra 2 hours to insert the plot-meat for each tale but I say that would be talking about a different film and not this one. Could have been more quirky but I liked this one and I’d like to have seen more of it.

Keep DVD?
Yes and I’d love to see outtakes and interviews.

Watch if on TV?
Yes.

Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog. Probably could have married this one if it had been done by Terry Gilliam.

About Simon Trail

There has long been a tradition that a knight will show a crest and / or motto of his family. I shall endeavour to provide such a distinguishing and immediately descriptive thingy over my management of this site. Please be patient. Or Doctor if you're David Tennent.
