A very different movie to it’s predecessor but still a good one to see. Not a war of apes or action frenzy, this is more about how we treat each other with a lot of schmaltz sprinkled over everything. There’s a bit too much bad in the bad guys, a lot much greed in the greedy and a barrel load of trying-but-can’t-change-what’s-going-to-happen in the good guys.

Ape expressions are wonderful and Andy does another fine job of making a special effect come alive.

If you like something different with a smidgen of seat grippiness then this fits the bill. Just don’t say you didn’t know what would happen by the twentieth minute!

DVD Extras: None. I must have got the cheap DVD
