Rubbish title. Really. But good film.

Hugh is huge. He really buffed up for this one and shows his ass as soon as he can. A more rough Wolverine this time and better for it. James plays it cool and Michael is quite mesmerising but it’s a Hugh show as with the first one. Every body does well and the effects are stunning. Story actually makes you think as well so that’s not bad.

Sounds like a ‘but’ in there doesn’t it? Not talking about Hugh’s.

Well…. I get disappointed when the ‘big’ part of a picture doesn’t seem to shine through and in this case there’s still something missing. It’s not like the comics. Oh, there are a lot of similarities and the script can be quite fun but the action seems to contained. In the comics – and I know I shouldn’t compare – there were always a few fights where the heroes were thrown across streets and buildings and stuff. In Xmen films like this one, everything is more growls and anger than actual WHAM! PUNCH! KA-ZAMPUNCH!

Does that make sense?

I think I need to watch it again. Anyway, still a good movie with loads going for it for all the family and the dog and a cat and granny if she likes that kind of thing.

Keep DVD?
Yes. Be better as the box set but doesn’t need it.

Watch if on TV?

Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog. Very close to being marriage material but I guess my standards are getting higher.
