Quentin really must have been a self absorbed kid. Some of his movies burst with ideas and energy whilst others, like Death Proof, are chocked full of ‘homage’ and obvious Americana from his past and that of the films he used to watch. It kinda works as a bit of a laugh but I’d not want to see it again. The girls versus evil concept and the Quentin script are hard to fault as they are as obvious as a hairy wart on granny’s face.
I’d get the guys round to see this and a few others of the same type for a weekend of ‘cult’ crap movies but if it was on TV, I’d put on something else.
Not for kids. Not for brains. Fun for a beer or two and defo good to see Kurt doing his thing here.
Watch if on TV?
