Maybe retitle this one “The mystery of the missing dialogue and the adventure to find a captain that sounds interested.”

Aardman do a god job of animating and there are some trademark silly bits in the back ground but the pace is slowed by a captain who isn’t funny and a plot that doesn’t go far enough into the strange and wonderful.

Could have been better although it’s worth a punt especially if you have kids. Don’t expect to want to watch again though.

Keep DVD?

No.
Watch if on TV?
It’s Aardman. How can anyone refuse a bit of plasticine manipulation. That’s silly putty to some people.
Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog, me hearties! Although, blusterin’ barnacles, it’ll be a bit of a keel hawlin’ compared to some other vessels you could be sailin’ on.

About Simon Trail

There has long been a tradition that a knight will show a crest and / or motto of his family. I shall endeavour to provide such a distinguishing and immediately descriptive thingy over my management of this site. Please be patient. Or Doctor if you're David Tennent.
