A magnificently envisaged backdrop of landscapes and costumes didn’t provide enough of a distraction from the wooden acting and uninteresting script. Nice though it was to see some of the characters, this felt as if it was originally a more violent, sexy adult themed script that had to be flattened to make it all kid-friendly. Perhaps the writers were trying their hand at a kids movie for the first time? Either way, this grandiose attempt was a bit more dust storm than tornado.

Kids might like it but also might get a bit lost in some of the deep-and-meaningful moments.

Keep DVD?

Watch if on TV?
Snog, Marry, Avoid?
Snog a bit.

About Simon Trail

There has long been a tradition that a knight will show a crest and / or motto of his family. I shall endeavour to provide such a distinguishing and immediately descriptive thingy over my management of this site. Please be patient. Or Doctor if you're David Tennent.
