“The source! Go back to the Source!”

I didn’t rate it the first time but forgot why so eventually got my arm twisted by the basement price tag. I now know why I don’t rate it.

This is one for really young kids to enjoy the bouncy little sack dolls and not one for the plot or any end result. I just kept waiting for the big reveal to happen and when it did it wasn’t that big and wasn’t much of a reveal.

Really well animated and some nicely dark scenes but, without going in to deep, there was an empty ‘and…?’ feeling for most of the time. The dialogue was also a lot flat and oddly seemed to be keeping the little sack guys from expressing themselves properly! Dunno if that says something about the quality of characters or the lack of quality of the script!

Felt like a bit more emphasis on the plot would have been enough to give it a hook but as it stands, I wouldn’t go back.

DVD Extras: A lot of stuff on unused scenes and making of and the initial ideas. For me it’s not very exciting stuff but a lot none-the-less.

Watchability (once, twice, etc.)
