Sit back, relax and let slip the dogs of comfy-funny.
As expected, the writing is good and the team are well-good. They know what comic timing is for and when to throw in a couple of seconds of throw-away humour. Really fun for both kids and adults and I hope they do more.
One of my tick-boxes for comedies is the time it appears to take to get through them… did it feel like a chore? Was there a point when you wanted to go make a cup of tea but leave the film running? Well this one went quickly and I didnt want to leave the sofa. I wanted to hear every word and watch each action by each character, including those in the background. That’s the sign of a good movie.
Not world-shakingly massive but a good comedy that should stand the test of time.
