Don’t knock it, this is a good film if you’re honest about what you want to see. No awards will be given out for, well, anything, but it’s a romp with a lot of down-to-earth humour.

Dwayne isn’t my favourite actor. Mostly he’s not good at anything serious or playing funny scenes as he just can’t do subtilty when required to do confused or anxious. He is what he is. However the first half hour here shows him relaxed, not over-acting and really likeable as the character, not just the Rock in a film. It’s opened my eyes to his possibilities so I don’t mind recommending him as one part of the two reasons to see Rampage.

The other reason is that it’s a silly, over-the-top monster movie with all the trappings. You don’t have to look into it much to know what this is about and it delivers your expectations but with a lot of fun from both the characters and the script.

DVD Extras: Not overly filled with extras but you get a lot of the enthusiasm about bringing it to the public and I have to admit to enjoying the reminiscences to the video game. I’m a geek with no apologies and perhaps you are as well…?
